Apple might start showing ads on your iPhone

On its iPhones and iPads, Apple may be adding advertisements to pre-installed apps that were previously ad-free.

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the iPhone manufacturer is growing its advertising business by making money off of some pre-installed apps.

According to the article, pre-installed iPhone apps like Maps, Books, and Podcasts may soon feature advertisements.

According to reports, Apple has internally tested search advertisements in Maps, which might show suggestions when you look for nearby eateries, shops, or other businesses that pay for ad space.

The IT expert predicted that Apple TV Plus might have a comparable ad-supported service.

As of now, Apple's News and Stocks apps contain advertisements. Additionally, it displays Google-like search advertisements across all of its devices in the App Store.

Apple is yet to confirm any such move so we’ll have to stay tuned for updates.
